Overview

The R/V Franklin was an oceanographic research vessel operated by the CSIRO Marine National Facility (MNF) from 1985 to 2002. It measured 55.2 meters in length and 11.8 meters in width, and was equipped with instruments and machinery to support scientific research. It had a range of 7500 kilometers, a design speed of 13 knots, and could accommodate 14 crew members and 12 scientists.
